David Walter Banks is an American born photographer living in Atlanta, Georgia. He is a conceptually based documentary and portrait photographer. His work is aimed at questioning the way in which we view the everyday reality around us. Banks was a candidate for the 2009 and 2010 PDN30, and his work was recognized by the 2009 Magenta Foundation Flash Forward 2009 census of emerging photographers. His work was exhibited at the 2009 LOOK3 Festival of the Photograph and most recently at the Aperture Gallery in New York and an upcoming show at the Houston Center for Photography.
