Forgotten

Like most countries, mental illness is something that people want to forget about.  Vietnam is no different.  Families send their loved ones to mental illness hospitals and often leave them there for the rest of their lives.  The hospitals are ran by the government but the doctors are left to deal with the finances and care for the patients on their own.  In this particular hospital about 50 miles south of Saigon, 400 patients barely have enough to eat each day.  The hospital relays heavily on donations from Buddhist temples and private entities.
