One of my favorite editors, Paul Moakley, gave me a call not too long ago with an interesting assignment in McLean, Virginia and Washington, D.C. I went up for several days to photograph teens and young adults from different walks of life that have all struggled to obtain entry-level, minimum wage jobs. Many of the people I met had applied for anywhere from 20 to 100 different positions with little success. They ended up running four images over six pages and I was quite pleased with the way it turned out, especially considering all the bumps along the way, expected and otherwise. Here is the tearsheet and some outtakes.
