The day before I left for Amsterdam, back at the end of October, Matthew Craig from The Wall Street Journal called me with an interesting assignment near Washington, DC. Each night in his basement in Vienna, Virginia, Mohsen Sazegara records messages that are then disseminated to millions of Iranians. Sazegara is helping to remotely organize pro-democracy demonstrations in Iran from his home in the USA where he is safely out of the government’s reach. He is for all intents and purposes, the revolutionary next door.
