Every so often the backlog of outtakes catches up to me.  It’s been a while since the last time this happened.  Most of the shoots from this month were assignment-based, leaving little scrap on the floor that I can share.  Just finished ingesting a card full of images that I’ve been snapping in my daily life.  Early morning after a snow, the Denver Aquarium, my favorite smokestack, warehouses, and some test frames from last night at Casa Bonita with friend and filmmaker Kim Shively.  Shively’s newest work-in-progress looks at the underground culture of Lucha Libre in Denver (and outside of it too.  But seriously, why leave such a perfect city?)  At any rate, sans luchadores, we spent a few hours last night in the greatest restaurant on Earth working out lighting for portraits of some of the wrestlers.

This was my first chance to really play with the A2R light setup that Bron sent out.  Managed to do some really fun stuff with nothing but an umbrella and some cinefoil.
