I am on the road for three weeks with the Tea Party Express. Sabine Meyer of TIME Magazine was kind enough to send me out for the the first leg in Searchlight, NV. It was a raucous event in the middle of the desert. On Friday, Paul Moakley gave me a ring to tell me that TIME is one of the first magazines to release an iPad version with this issue and that the staff had just previewed it. The print version has only one image, but the iPad version has the option to click on a gallery to view several images. In addition, he said ad sales were strong for this release, so if this model holds it could mean more images running. Very exciting stuff over at TIME. My gratitude to Sabine and Paul.
My brother-in-law just sent these screen shots from his iPad. The story has thumbnails along the bottom that you can click on to see full screen.
Below is a screen shot of one of the six images in the gallery. For the next two weeks I am in smaller cities with little to no free time, so I am going to have to wait until DC to pop into an Apple store to check out the new iPad. I can’t wait to see it.
Some more images from the edit…

Very cool Daryl.
What a great assignment. It’s awesome that new technology will allow people to see more images!
