In February of 2006 I unknowingly began making images that would later become an all-consuming project lasting for more than four years. I am excited to announce the first real printing of this body of work. Edited by Mike Davis and designed by his wife Deb Pang Davis of Cococello Design, it contains an afterword by Brian Paul Clamp, director of ClampArt in New York.
The book is scheduled to launch on May 7, 2010 at The Houston Center for Photography where there will be a solo showing of Carry Me Ohio for the first time. There are 100 hand signed and numbered copies being printed, of which I plan to only sell 75. Hopefully they will go fast!
For those who can’t make it to the show but would like to purchase a book, you can purchase via PayPal using the Buy Now option or you can send me an email at matteich(at)luceoimages.com to receive payment information and pay via check. Because it is such a limited run the books are initially priced at $80, plus $5 shipping and handling, though when they make it to the LUCEO store (coming soon), they will be more expensive. I may also do a small sale of books and a limited edition fine art prints of new Ohio work depending on how many copies are left over after the show. So check it out and be sure to buy a copy for your mom as a belated gift for Mother’s Day, which is right around the bend. Because there’s nothing moms love like a photo book.
UPDATE: Books are sold out for the time-being. Keep checking back on this blog or the LUCEO Facebook page to see if there are any leftovers after the show if you really want a copy!
