In early June all of the LUCEO photographers gathered in Washington, DC for a week to hash out our business and to meet with clients. These times, while stressful, are so good for my soul. Just being able to spend a few days with a group of like-minded photographers that I respect deeply was refreshing after a few months of what felt like constant travel. We typically spend 16-18 hour days where we go from being locked in a hotel room to running around the city for meetings with editors then straight to the bars to meet up with more editors or photographers. This manages to make us a bit ragged and socially inept during our gatherings but we had a great time and got to see a lot of wonderful editors and friends. Here are some photographs from that week. Thanks to all the folks that took the time to meet with us and tolerated our antics while we were there, especially the folks from National Geographic, The Atlantic, Smithsonian, AARP, US News & World Report and The Corcoran.
