Who knew there were a bunch of ex-pat Brits in the suburbs north of Atlanta? I photographed inside “The Corner Shop” in Marietta, Georgia for a story in The New York Times about the craze over the news of a future royal wedding.

Hey kendrick, nice one…as a Brit (in NY) i think you have captured the essence of our great nation…pretty flags, on-sale soccer jerseys and great candy ….
seriously..hope you will follow this story from the South as the story (mania ?) develops…I will find places in N.East to do likewise. Cheers RB

Hey, 3rd blue pin from the top is where i live!
I take it all the customers put a pin in where they are originally from?

It’s so interesting to see this kind of shop in a suburb of America. Marmite made the shelves, I see. As a Canadian living in Britain, I have mixed feelings about the Royal family, but one can’t help to learn about all the buzz. One day, the news was all about Will & Kate, and the next quickly turned to headlines about The Beatles available on iTunes. (I’ve been a silent admirer of Luceo for awhile now; I’m inspired by all the work of each photographer. Keep it up.)
